Mini Originals

For her “mini” paintings, Linda uses a variety of media, including pen & ink, watercolor, colored pencil, brush pens  &  gouache. These paintings are really quite small – roughly 4×6″. (A standard-size playing card is 2.5×3.5″.) The inspiration for these highly-detailed original works is usually Nature: The California Redwoods, flowers from her garden – or Claude Monet’s! – or the ocean, for example.

Linda started creating her “mini’s” with the idea of offering original art at an affordable price by keeping things small, & soon she became enthralled with making these tiny works of art. Since it’s always essential for her to tell a complete visual story -even in the small space allotted – these paintings show an astonishing range of color, value, & detail.

With the “mini’s,” affordability extends to their framing: Each piece is mounted to an attractive mat whose outside measurements are cut to a standard frame size. Just purchase a ready-made frame & glass kit, & pop it in!
